Reliance Capital Ltd. is a Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) with a market capitalisation of Rs. 357 crores. The company was incorporated on 5th March 1986 and was founded by Late Dhirubhai Ambani. The company posted a net loss of Rs 1,773 in the December quarter of 2021-22. Reliance Capital is listed on both the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE) under the name RELCAPITAL. 

The company operates in various segments like the insurance sector, broking and distribution, asset reconstruction, and commercial and housing finance. Its product portfolio includes life insurance, health insurance, general insurance, SME loans, vehicle finance, wealth and portfolio management services, and many more. The company also has branches in Singapore, Malaysia, the United Kingdom, and the United Arab Emirates. 

When it comes to the companys shareholding structure, promoters own only 1.51% of the R Capital shares. On the other hand, retail investors own 94.85% of the companys shares. Compared to industry averages, the companys debt-to-equity ratio and current ratio have both deteriorated in the past few years. The market capitalisation rose marginally in the last five years, rising by 0.73%. The revenue growth is 1.2% better than the industry average. However, despite the positive revenue, the company posted a whopping loss of 9,404 crores in the financial year 2020-21. This is due to a massive debt of over Rs 40,000 crores and validated claims of around Rs 23,000 crores. 

The companys Earnings Per Share (EPS) for the December quarter was Rs. -70.15. In addition to that, the Price to Earnings Ratio (PE Ratio) and Price to Book Ratio (PB Ratio) stands at -0.04 and -0.03, respectively. According to recent news, the company has received 54 bidders for its acquisition. Some well-known names on the bidders list include TATA AIG, Nippon Life Insurance, and ICICI Lombard. 

Reliance Capitals share price today, on 28th March 2022, was closed at Rs. 14.90. The 52-week high and low of the R Capital share price were Rs. 30.65 and Rs 9.30, respectively. Given the companys current financial position, R Capitals share is considered a high-risk investment.
