What is Masters of the Street?

Masters of the Street is a collection of carefully curated, ready-made equity baskets, designed & managed by well-established and reputed SEBI licensed investment experts, to help you achieve long term wealth creation. With ‘Masters of the Street’, ICICIdirect account holders can get access to long term equity investment ideas offered by reputed & trusted industry professionals, with a demonstrated track record of outperformance.

Masters of the Street are ready-made baskets of 10-25 stocks, which are handpicked and selected depending on the investment objective of each basket. You can choose from multiple baskets available on the platform. We have diverse investment ideas available spread across themes, styles, market caps, sectors etc.

Masters of the Street are designed & managed by SEBI licensed investment experts – well established & trusted industry professionals with decades of market experience. The objective is to help you eliminate the complexities involved with long-term equity investing. Now simply choose and invest in any of our ready-made baskets, act on the recommended updates, and use that extra time to focus on other priorities in your life!

Just login to your ICICIdirect account, select ‘Masters of the Street’ option from the top menu bar and explore the baskets available for investment. Entire journey of subscription, investment, rebalancing is available on the same platform.

In order to invest in any of the basket, you will need to subscribe to the basket first. You can avail the benefits of any individual basket by paying a subscription fee. Subscribing to a basket gives you following benefits:

a. View the basket strategy & actual composition
b. Execute the basket recommendations
c. Make additional investments in the same baske
d. Track performance of your investments in real time
e. Periodic updates & commentary on invested basket
f. Complete rebalancing in few clicks

Each subscription is valid for a defined period. Subscription fee is debited upfront, while the renewal fees will be charged at the end of the period.

Any investor with 3-in-1 account with ICICIdirect with updated KYC, FATCA & CKYC details can subscribe to Masters of the Street. Investors with trading & demat account with ICICIdirect can also subscribe by linking any non ICICI bank account. Presently these baskets are offered only to resident individual account holders. Non individuals (Corporates / HUFs) can also invest in One Click Premium baskets.

Subscribing and investing in any of the available basket is simple and completely online.

For Masters of the Street, the steps are:

a. Click on ‘Explore Basket’ to view the different baskets offered by each Exper
b. Click on ‘Subscribe Now’ on the basket you prefer to subscribe
c. Enter your investment amount on which the Advance Fee will be charged, accept the T&C and click on ‘Proceed’
d. Fund Allocation popup box will be displayed, to block the upfront Advance Fee. Amount will be automatically computed; you just need to click on ‘Submit’
e. Complete Risk Profiling by answering the 7 questions, and click on ‘Submit’
f. Accept the Risk Profile by clicking on ‘I Agree to this Risk Profile’
g. In case of deviation in Risk Profile, accept the risk profile deviation consent and click on ‘Proceed to Esign’
h. Accept the terms and conditions of the Investment Advisory agreement, and click on ‘Proceed to Esign’ for Aadhaar based OTP authentication
i. Enter Aadhaar number on the NSDL E-sign page. OTP will be received on mobile number registered with Aadhaar database. OTP authentication will be done on submission of OTP.
j. Upon successful OTP verification, you can download the e-signed Investment Advisory Agreement. Click on ‘Proceed & Subscribe’ to continue further.
k. That’s it, you are now subscribed to the basket. You can now proceed to see the actual basket composition

For One Click Premium, follow the below steps:

a. Click on ‘Subscribe Now’ on the basket you prefer to subscribe
b. Click on ‘Proceed for Confirmation’ on Auto Debit Mandate page
c. Fund Allocation popup box will be displayed, to block the upfront subscription fee. Amount will be automatically computed; you just need to click on ‘Submit’
d. That’s it, you are now subscribed to the basket. You can now proceed to see the actual basket composition

Once you have subscribed to any basket, same will get reflected under Masters of the Street > My Investments > Subscription Details.

In order to make the initial investment in your subscribed basket, you will have to visit the respective basket from the home page, enter the investment amount and click on ‘Invest Now

If you made any investment, details of the same (Investment Value, Current Value, Overall Gain etc.) will start reflecting by the end of day. This is applicable for all transactions.

For all baskets where you have made the initial investment, same will be available for display in Masters of the Street > My Investments page. Following are the details visible in this page:

a. Summary & Performance: Clicking on the basket name will display the stock wise holding in that basket.
i. Net Invested Amount - Sum of cost value of all the stocks currently held in your basket
ii. Current Value - Sum of market value of all the stocks currently held in your basket
iii. Overall Gain - Difference between Current Value & Net Invested Amount
iv. Returns (XIRR %) – XIRR % returns calculated on the transactions in your subscribed basket. This is computed using MS Excel XIRR function. For investments less than a year, absolute return is displayed. While, XIRR annualized returns are shown for investments more than a year old.

b. Invest More: You can make additional investments in your subscribed basket through this link. You just have to input the amount that you have chosen to invest and orders will be created. There is no minimum limit on the additional investments, you can invest as low as Rs. 5,000!

d. Unexecuted Orders: All orders which fail to be placed or executed post order creation stage (through Initiate Rebalance, Invest More, Withdraw), will be captured here. You can then use this link to place such unexecuted orders again at a later time.

e. Mismatch: This link will help you identify any deviation in holdings of stock wise quantities in all of your subscribed baskets vs the stock wise quantities in your demat account. It could happen that you end up selling full or partial holdings of stocks bought through Masters of the Street, from general Equity place order page. Any such deviation in quantity holdings will be reflected here and ‘Mismatch’ will be updated in the Remarks column.

f. Withdraw: If you wish to sell all the stocks in your invested basket, you can do the same by selecting Withdraw link, and the basket order will be created. Please keep 2 points in mind before using this link:
i. The stock wise quantity in Withdraw basket will be the same quantities as you can see in your basket summary page. If you had initiated a purchase transaction (Invest More / Initiate Rebalance / Initial Investment) in the last 2 trading days, the stock wise quantity from that transaction will be reflecting in this page even though it takes 2 days for the quantities to be credited in your demat account. If sell order is placed for the stock which is not yet credited in your demat account, the order will fail to be placed and will remain pending in ‘Unexecuted Orders’ link.
ii. Withdraw will only result in selling of all stocks. Your subscription will continue, and you will continue to receive the benefits for the basket till the time your subscription is active.

All the baskets available on the platform are actively tracked by the respective experts (ICICIdirect Research / SEBI RIAs). As the markets are dynamic, it is important to periodically review each basket stock and initiate changes to ensure that the basket composition is in line with the investment objective. It is important for investors to review and execute the changes as soon as possible, to ensure performance of their investment is in sync with their chosen basket.

Whenever a rebalancing is initiated, all subscribers are intimated about the rebalancing through emails and website notifications. You can initiate rebalancing by visiting Masters of the Street > My Investments > Initiate Rebalance link.

Once rebalancing is initiated, automated emails will be sent to all active subscribers informing about the rebalance update. Pop up notification will be displayed on the website when the subscriber logs on the website and clicks on ‘Masters of the Street’ menu options.

Below details are accessible under ‘My Investments’ section:

a. Request Book: Each lumpsum investment request will be captured in this page with investment amount & timestamp
b. Order Book: Each lumpsum investment made will be a basket order among the stocks. You can get a stock wise order flow details for each basket order in this page
c. Subscription Details: Subscription details of all baskets currently subscribed by the investor is displayed here, with key details like Subscription Date, Subscription Status, Validity Start & End Date, Previous & Next Debit Date
d. Fee Details: This page will display the details of subscription fee paid by the investor for each subscription. Fee amount displayed will be incl. GST, with the actual status of fee debit

Subscription Fee is the fee that you pay for availing the benefits of any basket. Additionally, brokerage charges will be levied on all basket order transactions as per your applicable brokerage plan.

For Masters of the Street, advisory fee is 2.50% p.a., plus taxes, charged for each calendar quarter. An Advance Fee at the same rate is charged upfront at the start of subscription period, for an entire quarter. At the end of each calendar quarter, the applicable advisory fee is calculated on Daily AUA – Assets Under Advice (the end of day investment value). Subscription will be auto renewed at the end of each calendar quarter.

For One Click Premium, subscription fee is Rs. 2,499/-, plus taxes, charged upfront for each quarter. Subscription start date is the day of fees payment. Subscription is auto renewed at the end of quarter. This is a flat fee structure which is not depended on the investment value.

Yes, your subscription for any Masters of the Street basket is auto renewed at the end of the subscription period, so that you continue to enjoy uninterrupted benefits of your subscribed basket. In case you wish to unsubscribe/deactivate your subscription, you can initiate the same online by visiting My Investments > Subscription Details > Deactivate link.
