Ashok Leyland bags order for buses in UAEASHOKLEY - 175 Change: -2.90 (-1.63 %)
News: As per media sources, Ashok Leyland has bagged an order of 1,400 school buses in the UAE, the companys largest ever school bus order. Most of the supplies will be made to Emirates Transport and STS Group.
View: This comes as positive development. These buses would be made in the UAE, assembly plant (i.e. the Ras Al Khaimah plant, which is a joint venture between Ashok Leyland & the Ras Al Khaimah Investment Authority (RAKIA), which has annual production capacity of 4,000 buses. The order value could be in the vicinity of Rs 300-500 crore.
