Nigeria, Phillipines, Argentina interested in procuring Tejas LCAHAL - 3046 Change: 39.85 (1.33 %)
News: During a media interview at Avionics Expo 2023, Hindustan Aeronautics' (HAL) chairman has said that the company is in talks with few countries like Nigeria, Philippines, Argentina and Egypt to export its indigenously developed Tejas Light Combat Aircraft (LCA). Exports contribute just ~1% to total revenue as of FY23.
Views: Company management and government has been in discussions with these countries for the possible export opportunities in fighter jets and helicopters. Recently the company signed an LoI with Argentina for LCH choppers and its engine repair and spares. We believe that the company has a huge opportunity in exports considering the increasing level of indigenisation and increasing capacities at Nashik for fighter jets and Tumakuru for helicopters.
