News: MCX reported healthy traction in revenue at 34% and 9% QoQ to Rs 145 crore, driven by continued uptick in option volume. Average Daily Turnover (ADT) in futures segment has remained steady at Rs 21413 crore in Q1FY24 vs Rs 25234 crore in Q1FY23 and Rs 20632 crore in Q4FY23. Options ADT increased from Rs 19539 crore in Q1FY23 to Rs 45710 crore in Q4FY23 and further Rs 61928 crore in Q1FY24. Higher expense related to software kept earnings muted at Rs 19.7 crore; down 53% YoY.
Views: While continued momentum in options volume remains positive for accretion in top-line, implementation of new software remains watchful.
