ISRO lists out big plans for future
News: In a media interview, ISRO Chairman, S Somnath lists out future plans as a roadmap 2047 of the space agency which includes multiple lunar missions and moon tourism. He said the work on the proposed space station too is progressing aggressively with the first unit is expected to be ready by 2028 and aims to build the whole station by 2035. The NGLV (next generation launch vehicle), which will be needed to achieve the targets, is expected to be ready by 2034-35.
Views: We believe that ISRO’s ambitious plans provide a significant opportunity in areas like space electronics, manufacturing of launch vehicles and satellites. Companies like Hindustan Aeronautics (HAL), Larsen & Toubro (L&T) which are already involved in manufacturing of LVM-3 or GSLV Mark 3 may benefit from future induction plan of NGLV. Bharat Electronics (BEL), Data Patterns, Astra Microwave are the expected beneficiaries in space electronics segment. Premier Explosives is expected to benefit significantly from future requirement of propellants to be used in launch vehicles.
