GOVERNMENT IMPOSES ANTI-DUMPING DUTY ON WELDED STAINLESS-STEEL PIPES AND TUBES
News: As per media sources, the government has imposed anti-dumping duty on welded stainless-steel pipes and tubes, which are imported from Thailand and Vietnam. The duty is imposed for five years with duties varying from $246 to $307 per metric tons.
Views: This move offers a much-needed relief to the domestic stainless-steel industry, which has been struggling with low-cost exports from Vietnam and Thailand. This imposition of anti-dumping duty will benefit Jindal Stainless and Ratnamani Metal & Tubes, who are the leading players in the domestic stainless-steel space.
