Q1FY27 Quarterly Result Announced for Sammaan Capital Ltd.

Housing Finance company Sammaan Capital announced Q1FY27 results

Consolidated Financial Highlights:

  • Total Revenue from Operations: The company reported revenue of Rs 1,651.93 crore in Q1FY27, representing a YoY decrease of 31.18% compared to Rs 2,400.33 crore in Q1FY26. On a QoQ basis, revenue increased by 21.67% from Rs 1,357.66 crore in Q4FY26.
  • Total Income: Total income for Q1FY27 stood at Rs 1,682.81 crore, down 30.16% YoY from Rs 2,409.43 crore in Q1FY26, but up 23.62% QoQ from Rs 1,361.32 crore in Q4FY26.
  • Interest Income: Interest income was reported at Rs 1,078.17 crore in Q1FY27, a decline of 31.05% YoY from Rs 1,563.64 crore in Q1FY26.
  • Net Profit attributable to Shareholders: The company posted a net profit of Rs 243.30 crore in Q1FY27, a decrease of 27.22% YoY from Rs 334.30 crore in Q1FY26. This marks a recovery compared to the net loss of Rs (8,101.41) crore reported in Q4FY26.
  • Earnings Per Share (EPS): Basic EPS for Q1FY27 was Rs 2.13, compared to Rs 4.10 in Q1FY26 and a loss of Rs (99.10) in Q4FY26.

Standalone Financial Highlights:

  • Total Revenue from Operations: Standalone revenue reached Rs 1,494.42 crore in Q1FY27, down 31.82% YoY from Rs 2,191.87 crore in Q1FY26, and up 22.96% QoQ from Rs 1,215.38 crore in Q4FY26.
  • Total Income: Standalone total income for Q1FY27 was Rs 1,519.12 crore, compared to Rs 2,200.20 crore in Q1FY26 (YoY decrease of 30.96%) and Rs 1,223.27 crore in Q4FY26 (QoQ increase of 24.18%).
  • Net Profit: Standalone profit for Q1FY27 stood at Rs 225.60 crore, a decline of 24.15% YoY from Rs 297.44 crore in Q1FY26. This follows a standalone net loss of Rs (8,455.11) crore in Q4FY26.
  • Earnings Per Share (EPS): Standalone basic EPS for Q1FY27 was Rs 1.94, compared to Rs 3.59 in Q1FY26.

Business Highlights:

  • Change in Promoter Status: During Q1FY27, Avenir Investment RSC Ltd (owned and controlled by International Holding Company PJSC - IHC, Abu Dhabi) was classified as the promoter of the company following a strategic investment and open offer concluded in May 2026.
  • Credit Rating Upgrades: Following the strategic investment by IHC, major rating agencies upgraded the company's ratings. S&P Global Ratings upgraded the long-term credit rating to ‘BB-’ with a Stable Outlook, while CRISIL upgraded the rating to ‘CRISIL AA /Stable’, CARE upgraded to ‘CARE AA ; Stable’, and ICRA upgraded to ‘[ICRA]AA /Stable’.
  • Segment Performance: The company is primarily engaged in the finance and mortgage-backed lending business and operates under a single reportable segment.
  • Borrowing Covenant Compliance: The company reported a breach of certain financial covenants under borrowing arrangements as of June 30, 2026. However, management noted that these breaches do not result in non-compliance with asset cover requirements for debentures, as the debenture trust deeds do not contain cross-default provisions triggered by such breaches.
  • Strategic Transformation: The company continues its strategic transformation towards increasing the proportion of retail assets in its overall loan book, following the reclassification of an identified pool of non-core exposures to "Hold to Sell" in the previous year.
  • Board Changes: Mr. Subhash Sheoratan Mundra ceased to be the Non-Executive Chairman and Independent Director upon completion of his second term on August 17, 2026. Mr. Dinabandhu Mohapatra has been appointed as the Interim Chairman effective August 18, 2026. Additionally, H.E. Dalia Hazem Gamil Khorshid was appointed as an Additional Non-Executive Non-Independent Director.

    • FY26: Rs 8,190.23 crore compared to Rs 8,683.25 crore in FY25 (YoY decrease of 5.68%).
  • Profit/(Loss) before tax:
    • Q4FY26: Loss of Rs 10,096.62 crore compared to a profit of Rs 454.99 crore in Q4FY25. Compared to Q3FY26 (profit of Rs 419.07 crore), this reflects a significant decrease.
    • FY26: Loss of Rs 8,784.42 crore compared to a loss of Rs 2,375.57 crore in FY25.
  • Profit/(Loss) after tax:
    • Q4FY26: Loss of Rs 8,101.41 crore compared to a profit of Rs 324.04 crore in Q4FY25. Compared to Q3FY26 (profit of Rs 314.08 crore), this reflects a significant decrease.
    • FY26: Loss of Rs 7,144.56 crore compared to a loss of Rs 1,807.46 crore in FY25.

    • Q4FY26: Rs 1,223.27 crore compared to Rs 1,905.14 crore in Q4FY25 (YoY decrease of 35.79%). Compared to Q3FY26 (Rs 2,053.48 crore), this reflects a QoQ decrease of 40.43%.
    • FY26: Rs 7,546.06 crore compared to Rs 7,671.14 crore in FY25 (YoY decrease of 1.63%).
  • Profit/(Loss) before tax:
    • Q4FY26: Loss of Rs 10,847.05 crore compared to a profit of Rs 404.77 crore in Q4FY25. Compared to Q3FY26 (profit of Rs 373.23 crore), this reflects a significant decrease.
    • FY26: Loss of Rs 9,688.85 crore compared to a profit of Rs 1,273.78 crore in FY25.
  • Profit/(Loss) after tax:
    • Q4FY26: Loss of Rs 8,455.11 crore compared to a profit of Rs 293.64 crore in Q4FY25. Compared to Q3FY26 (profit of Rs 284.77 crore), this reflects a significant decrease.
    • FY26: Loss of Rs 7,597.47 crore compared to a profit of Rs 942.69 crore in FY25.
  • Earnings per share (Basic/Diluted):
    • Q4FY26: (Rs 101.46) compared to Rs 3.80 in Q4FY25.

Business Highlights:

  • Strategic Transition: During FY26 and Q4FY26, Sammaan Capital formally transitioned into an IHC Group Company following a strategic investment and open offer by Avenir Investment RSC Ltd (owned and controlled by International Holding Company PJSC, Abu Dhabi).
  • Business Model Change: The Board approved a change in the business model for identified non-core exposures aggregating Rs 14,953 crore to focus on increasing the proportion of retail assets. This resulted in an exceptional loss of Rs 6,499.17 crore for the quarter and year ended March 31, 2026.
  • Capital Raising: The Board authorized raising funds up to Rs 10,000 crore via issuance of debentures, bonds, or other debt instruments through public offer or private placement.
  • Credit Ratings: Moody's upgraded the Company's Long-Term Corporate Family Rating to B1 with a Positive Outlook. CRISIL and CARE also upgraded the credit ratings on the Company's long-term debt programme to CRISIL AA /Stable and CARE AA /Stable, respectively.

Indiabulls Housing Finance announced Q2FY23 results:

  • Q2FY23:
    • The balance sheet, loan book and AUM have stabilized. The base formed for ~10% AUM growth in FY23
    • Retail disbursals under the asset-light model have increased 9x times in H1FY23 vs H1FY22
    • Since FY22, retail disbursals of ~Rs 7,800 crore have been done under the asset-light model. Disbursals have sharply picked up, retail AUM has resumed growth and the asset-light model is earning RoA of 3% . Over 1,500 employees added since March 2021
    • Book spread has expanded to 3.1% at the end of H1FY23 as rate increases have been passed on
    • In H1FY23, Stage 2 loan assets are down by 26% from FY22, and 39% from FY21. NPAs stable at Rs 2,123 crore [GNPA of 2.94%; NNPA of 1.70%]. Provisions at 3% of the loan book and 2.6X of the regulatory requirement.
