Venus Pipes & Tubes has commissioned an additional 6.1 MW DC solar power unit at its Dhaneti facility in Gujarat

News: Venus Pipes & Tubes has commissioned an additional 6.1 MW DC solar power unit at its Dhaneti facility in Gujarat, taking its total solar power capacity to 7.4 MW DC. The company has invested ~₹22 crore in the new unit, which is expected to generate annual power cost savings of ~₹6 crore.

View: The commissioning of the additional solar capacity is positive, as it should reduce dependence on conventional power sources and lower the company's overall power costs. The estimated annual savings of ~₹6 crore imply a meaningful recurring cost benefit, while the relatively modest ₹22 crore investment highlights the capital-efficient nature of the initiative. We believe the higher share of renewable power should support margin improvement and operating efficiency over the medium term.

Impact: Positive
