ICICIdirect Research 13 Aug 2026 DISCLAIMER

News: Hindustan Aeronautics revenue from operations increased by 14.4% YoY (-60.4% QoQ) to ₹5,515 crore, supported by steady execution in its key aerospace and defence programmes. EBITDA increased 19.1% YoY (-69.8% QoQ) to ₹1,527 crore, with EBITDA margin improving to 27.7% (+107 bps YoY, -860 bps QoQ). PAT increased 14.9% YoY (-62.1% QoQ) to ₹1,590 crore.

View: Q1FY27 performance was largely in-line with expectations and management guidance. Going ahead, we believe that overall execution would pickup substantially led by commencement of Tejas Mk1A deliveries as GE engine supply constraints ease. With 50-60 engines are expected to be supplied by GE by FY28, HAL targets to deliver 24+ LCAs annually in the coming years. Other key contracts including helicopters, aero-engines and MRO should continue to witness steady execution. HAL is also expanding its manufacturing ecosystem through capacity additions, supply-chain localisation and strategic partnerships. The company’s order backlog remains robust at ~₹2.5 lakh crore (~7.6x FY26 revenue). Order pipeline remains robust including Su-30 MKI upgrades, UAVs, helicopters, Tejas Mk2, aero-engines (in partnership with GE, Safran), MRO etc., providing strong long-term growth visibility
