FII selling eases during second half of Feb 28

FIIs:  Net selling in the cash market approx. ₹12,000 crore so far while Net buying by DII was to the tune of ~ ₹18,000 crore.

Financial Services Sector: While FIIs have been net sellers, the pace of selling slowed in February. Outflows stood at ₹1,647 crore in the second half and total in Feb ₹6,991, significantly lower than ₹24,949 crore worth of selling in January.

Automobile sector witnessed the highest foreign outflows worth ₹3,279 crore in the second half of the month, after offloading ₹690 crore in the first half.

Healthcare saw net outflows of ₹2,996 crore (initial buying of ₹1,534 crore in the first haf, followed by heavy selling).

FMCG: FIIs offloaded ₹7,000 crore worth of shares in Feb month.

Telecommunication Sector saw highest FPI inflows of ₹5,661 crore in the second half, after investing ₹2,337 crore in the first half largely due to Bharti block deal
