Nifty September futures trade at premium

The Nifty September 2023 futures closed at 20,046, a premium of 49.65 points compared with the Nifty`s closing 19,996.35 in the cash market.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 added 176.40 points or 0.89% to settle at 19,996.35.

The NSE`s India VIX, a gauge of market`s expectation of volatility over the near term, jumped 5.26% to 11.35.

Reliance Industries (RIL), Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone, and HDFC Bank were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.

The September 2023 F&O contracts will expire on 28 September 2023.
