NIFTY OCTOBER FUTURES TRADE AT PREMIUM

The Nifty October 2023 futures closed at 19,145, a premium of 97.75 points compared with the Nifty`s closing 19,047.25 in the cash market.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 added 190 points or 1.01% to settle at 19,047.25.

The NSE`s India VIX, a gauge of market`s expectation of volatility over the near term, slumped 7.03% to 10.91.

Maruti Suzuki India, Reliance Industries (RIL) and Axis Bank were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.

The October 2023 F&O contracts will expire on 26 October 2023.
