NIFTY OCTOBER FUTURES TRADE AT PREMIUM

The Nifty October 2023 futures closed at 19,130, a premium of 7.85 points compared with the Nifty`s closing 19,122.15 in the cash market.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 lost 159.60 points or 0.83% to settle at 19,122.15.

The NSE`s India VIX, a gauge of market`s expectation of volatility over the near term, rose 3.73% to 11.31.

HDFC Bank, Reliance Industries (RIL) and ICICI Bank were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.

The October 2023 F&O contracts will expire on 26 October 2023.
