Nifty October futures trade at premium

The Nifty October 2023 futures closed at 19,842.05, a premium of 48.05 points compared with the Nifty`s closing 19,794 in the cash market.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 shed 17.35 points or 0.09% to settle at 19,794.

The NSE`s India VIX, a gauge of market`s expectation of volatility over the near term, slipped 3.34% to 10.62.

Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services and HDFC Bank were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.

The October 2023 F&O contracts will expire on 26 October 2023.
