Nifty October futures trade at premium

The Nifty October 2023 futures closed at 19,687.85, a premium of 34.35 points compared with the Nifty`s closing 19,653.50 in the cash market.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 advanced 107.75 points or 0.55% to settle at 19,653.50.

The NSE`s India VIX, a gauge of market`s expectation of volatility over the near term, declined 5.57% to 10.33.

Bajaj Finance, HDFC Bank and Tata Consultancy Services were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.

The October 2023 F&O contracts will expire on 26 October 2023.
