Nifty October futures trade at premium

The Nifty October 2023 futures closed at 19,478.20, a premium of 42.10 points compared with the Nifty`s closing 19,436.10 in the cash market.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 declined 92.65 points or 0.47% to settle at 19,436.10.

The NSE`s India VIX, a gauge of market`s expectation of volatility over the near term, fell 1.63% to 11.60.

HDFC Bank, Axis Bank and ICICI Bank were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.

The October 2023 F&O contracts will expire on 26 October 2023.
