Nifty October futures trade at premium

The Nifty October 2023 futures closed at 19,714, a premium of 75.7 points compared with the Nifty`s closing 19,638.30 in the cash market.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 added 114.75 points or 0.59% to settle at 19,638.30

The NSE`s India VIX, a gauge of market`s expectation of volatility over the near term, tumbled 10.68% to 11.45.

Reliance Industries (RIL), HDFC Bank and Multi Commodity Exchange of India and were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.

The October 2023 F&O contracts will expire on 26 October 2023.
