Nifty October futures trade at premium

The Nifty October 2023 futures closed at 19,655, a premium of 131.45 points compared with the Nifty`s closing 19,523.55 in the cash market.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 slipped 192.90 points or 0.98% to settle at 19,523.55.

The NSE`s India VIX, a gauge of market`s expectation of volatility over the near term, jumped 10.68% to 12.82.

HDFC Bank, Reliance Industries (RIL) and ICICI Bank and were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.

The October 2023 F&O contracts will expire on 26 October 2023.
