NIFTY OCTOBER FUTURES TRADE AT DISCOUNT

The Nifty October 2023 futures closed at 19,666.05, a discount of 5.05 points compared with the Nifty`s closing 19,671.10 in the cash market.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 shed 140.40 points or 0.71% to settle at 19,671.10.

The NSE`s India VIX, a gauge of market`s expectation of volatility over the near term, increased 2.82% to 11.

HDFC Bank, Reliance Industries and ICICI Bank were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.

The October 2023 F&O contracts will expire on 26 October 2023.
