NIFTY OCTOBER FUTURES TRADE AT DISCOUNT

The Nifty October 2023 futures closed at 19,734, a discount of 17.05 points compared with the Nifty`s closing 19,751.05 in the cash market.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 shed 42.95 points or 0.22% to settle at 19,751.05.

The NSE`s India VIX, a gauge of market`s expectation of volatility over the near term, rose 0.72% to 10.70.

Infosys, HDFC Bank and Tata Motors were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.

The October 2023 F&O contracts will expire on 26 October 2023.
