Nifty May futures trade at premium

The Nifty May 2023 futures closed at 18,324.55, a premium of 10.15 points compared with the Nifty`s closing of 18,314.40 in the cash market.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 advanced 111 points or 0.61% to settle at 18,314.40.

The NSE`s India VIX, a gauge of market`s expectation of volatility over the near term, advanced 2.17% to 12.57.

Adani Enterprises, Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone and HDFC Bank were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.

The May 2023 F&O contracts will expire on 25 May 2023.
