NIFTY MAY FUTURES TRADE AT PREMIUM

The Nifty May 2023 futures closed at 18,343, a premium of 27.9 points compared with the Nifty`s closing of 18,315.10 in the cash market.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 added 49.15 points or 0.27% to settle at 18,315.10.

The NSE`s India VIX, a gauge of market`s expectation of volatility over the near term, advanced 3.19% to 13.08.

HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, State Bank of India were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.

The May 2023 F&O contracts will expire on 25 May 2023.
