Nifty May futures trade at premium

The Nifty May 2023 futures closed at 18,203.95, a premium of 56.3 points compared with the Nifty`s closing of 18,147.65 in the cash market.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 advanced 82.65 points or 0.46% to settle at 18,147.65.

The NSE`s India VIX, a gauge of market`s expectation of volatility over the near term, zoomed 8.67% to 11.90.

Reliance Industries (RIL), Kotak Mahindra Bank and Infosys were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.

The May 2023 F&O contracts will expire on 25 May 2023.
