Nifty December futures trade at premium

The Nifty December 2023 futures closed at 21,353.70, a premium of 109.10 points compared with the Nifty`s closing 21,182.70 in the cash market.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 jumped 256.35 points or 1.23% to 21,182.70.

The NSE`s India VIX, a gauge of market`s expectation of volatility over the near term, rose 2.11% to 12.32.

Infosys, HDFC Bank and Reliance Industries were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.

The December 2023 F&O contracts will expire on 28 December 2023.
