Nifty December futures trade at premium

The Nifty December 2023 futures closed at 21,035.45, a premium of 109.10 points compared with the Nifty`s closing 20,926.35 in the cash market.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 added 19.95 points or 0.10% to 20,926.35.

The NSE`s India VIX, a gauge of market`s expectation of volatility over the near term, slipped 5.09% to 12.07.

REC, Axis Bank and HDFC Bank were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.

The December 2023 F&O contracts will expire on 28 December 2023.
