Nifty December futures trade at premium

The Nifty December 2023 futures closed at 21,079.50, a premium of 82.4 points compared with the Nifty`s closing 20,997.10 in the cash market.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 added 27.70 points or 0.13% to 20,997.10.

The NSE`s India VIX, a gauge of market`s expectation of volatility over the near term, rose 2.30% to 12.76.

ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank and Dixon Technologies were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.

The December 2023 F&O contracts will expire on 28 December 2023.
