Nifty April futures trade at premium

The Nifty April 2023 futures closed at 17,645, a premium of 26.25 points compared with the Nifty`s closing of 17,618.75 in the cash market.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 declined 41.40 points or 0.23% to settle at 17,618.75.

The NSE`s India VIX, a gauge of market`s expectation of volatility over the near term, rose 0.64% to 12.1525.

Infosys, Reliance Industries (RIL) and ICICI Bank were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.

The April 2023 F&O contracts will expire on 27 April 2023.
