Nifty April futures trade at premium

The Nifty April 2023 futures closed at 17,650.60, a premium of 51.45 points compared with the Nifty`s closing of 17,599.15 in the cash market.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 gained 42.10 points or 0.24% to settle at 17,599.15.

The NSE`s India VIX, a gauge of market`s expectation of volatility over the near term, tumbled 4.95% to 11.80.

Reliance Industries (RIL), ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.

The April 2023 F&O contracts will expire on 27 April 2023.
