Heavy Electrical Equipment company Thermax announced Q3FY24 results:

Consolidated Q3FY24:

• Revenue Growth: Thermax Group's consolidated operating revenue stood at Rs 2,324 crore, marking a 13% increase from Rs 2,049 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year.
• Net Profit Increase: The consolidated profit after tax (PAT) surged by 88% to Rs 237 crore, up from Rs 126 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.
• Exceptional Gain: Included in the current year's profit is an exceptional gain of Rs 126 crore resulting from the transfer of leasehold rights on a vacant plot of land.
• Profit Before Tax and Exceptional Items: The figure was reported at Rs 183 crore, an 11% rise from Rs 165 crore in Q3 FY '23.
• Order Balance: As of December 31, 2023, it stood at Rs 10,717 crore, indicating a 9% year-on-year increase from Rs 9,859 crore.
• Order Booking: The company booked 14% more orders in the quarter, tallying Rs 2,506 crore compared to Rs 2,204 crore in the previous year.

Standalone Q3FY24:

• Operating Revenue: Reported an 11% growth to Rs 1,480 crore, compared to Rs 1,331 crore in the same quarter of the last fiscal year.
• Standalone PAT: Saw a 123% increase, reaching Rs 201 crore, benefiting significantly from the exceptional gain on the sale of assets.
• Order Booking and Balance: The order booking increased by 17% over the previous year to Rs 1,154 crore. The order balance noted a slight 2% decrease to Rs 6,258 crore from Rs 6,358 crore.
