India Power Corporation Ltd is a utilities company that generates and distributes electricity in India. It was incorporated in 1919 as DPSC Limited and subsequently changed its name to India Power Corporation Ltd.

The Company's diversified portfolio includes renewable and conventional modes of power generation, distribution and power trading. It has a thermal power generation business in West Bengal and wind power generation in Gujarat and Rajasthan. India Power Corporation Ltd has two major segments – Regulated Business and Non-Regulated Business. The former consists of power distribution in Asansol, West Bengal, a distribution license in the Asansol - Ranigunj area of West Bengal and power generation through an embedded 12 megawatts (MW) thermal power generation plant in Asansol, West Bengal. The Company has also developed a connected solar power plant with West Bengal Green Energy Development Corporation Ltd. in Asansol. It has a 2 MW grid. India Power Corporation Ltd. has been providing critical power supply to the underground collieries of Eastern Coalfields Ltd., hospitals, government utilities, industrial and commercial consumers for nine decades.
