Q2FY26 Quarterly Result Announced for Sonata Software Ltd.

IT Consulting & Software company Sonata Software announced Q2FY26 results

  • Revenue for Q2FY26 stood at Rs 2,119.3 crore, a decline of 28.5% QoQ.
  • EBITDA (before other income and forex) for Q2FY26 stood at 8.1%, 280 bps accretion QoQ.
  • PAT for Q2FY26 stood at Rs 120.2 crore, growth of 10.0% QoQ.
  • Cash and cash equivalents (gross) stood at Rs 323 crore.
  • Cash and cash equivalents (net) stood at negative Rs 280 crore.
  • ROCE stood at 22.1% in Q2FY26, compared to 18.5% in Q1FY26.
  • RONW stood at 27.1% in Q2FY26, compared to 24.0% in Q1FY26.
  • The Company has declared its second interim dividend for the financial year at Rs 1.25 per share. This is in line with the commitment made during the previous earnings call to implement a quarterly interim dividend payout policy starting this year.

  • PAT for Q1FY26 stood at Rs 109.3 crore, growth of 1.7% QoQ.
  • Cash and cash equivalents (gross) stood at Rs 600 crore. and (net) stood at negative Rs 62.5 crore in Q1FY26.
  • ROCE stood at 18.5% in Q1FY26, compared to 21.9% in Q4FY25.

    • PAT for Q1FY26 stood at Rs 70.7 crore, showing a growth of 13.5% QoQ
    • ROCE stood at 14.7% in Q1FY26, compared to 16.3% in Q4FY25.
  • Domestic Products & Services:
    • Revenue for Q1FY26 stood at Rs 2274.7 crore, showing a growth of 18.6% QoQ.
    • Gross contribution for Q1FY26 stood at Rs 68.5 crore, showing a decline of 12.6% QoQ.
    • EBITDA (before other income and forex) for Q1FY26 stood at Rs 44.0 crore, showing a decline of 22.1% QoQ.
    • PAT for Q1FY26 stood at Rs 38.6 crore, showing a decline of 14.6% QoQ.
    • ROCE stood at 33.6% in Q1FY26, compared to 43.2% in Q4FY25.

  • EBITDA: Rs 853.0 crore; YoY growth of 26.4%.
  • PAT (before exceptional items): Rs 483.2 crore; YoY growth of 6.9%.
  • Net Cash and equivalents: Approximately Rs 441.3 crore (net of borrowings).

Speaking on the quarterly results Samir Dhir, MD & CEO of the Company said, “We remain optimistic about our long-term vision and growth prospects. In FY24, our international business delivered industry leading 34.3% growth YoY. During the Q4, large deals decisioning delays & associated costs resulted in sequential degrowth both in our international revenue USD terms by 2.4% QoQ, and consolidated PAT of 14.1% QoQ. Despite Q4 and shortterm headwinds, as we reflect on the year, we have taken significant steps towards our long-term goals.”

Speaking on the results Sujit Mohanty, MD & CEO of Sonata Information Technology said, "Our domestic products division delivered a good performance during this quarter. Our Gross Contribution grew by 1% QoQ and 16.5% YoY. Our Q2 PAT grew by 19% YoY. We successfully renewed all our large multiyear software contracts with our key customers. Our Rupee Revenue for Q4 FY’23 grew by 9% QoQ (8.6% in Dollar terms). Full-year rupee Revenue grew by 29%. (18.1% in USD terms). Consolidated PAT for FY’23 grew by 20% YoY. In addition, we completed the acquisition of Quant Systems in the quarter to strengthen our recently announced incubating BFSI and Healthcare verticals”.
