News: Data Patterns reported Q1FY27 revenue of ₹116 crore (+16.8% YoY, -66.4% QoQ), with execution impacted by temporary delays in customer approvals. EBITDA stood at ₹31 crore (-2.2% YoY, -83.7% QoQ), while EBITDA margin declined to 27.0% (-526 bps YoY, -2,888 bps QoQ) due to the execution mix during the quarter. PAT declined 13.5% YoY (-84.1% QoQ) to ₹22 crore. During the quarter, the company secured order inflows of over ₹226 crore, taking its order book (including negotiated orders pending receipt) to ~₹2,654 crore (2.9x FY26 revenue). The board also approved the acquisition of ST Advanced Composites Pvt. Ltd. for ₹10 crore to strengthen in-house composite manufacturing capabilities for radar and other strategic programmes, the company had a revenue of ₹ 4.1 crore in FY26, this acquisition is expected to be completed in 3 months.

View: Execution was slightly affected by temporary delays in customer approvals, which management expects to normalize in the coming quarters. Going forward  the company continues to witness a healthy opportunity pipeline, with increasing traction in defence electronics like radar, avionics, AMC etc.. The proposed acquisition of ST Advanced Composites will strengthen backward integration and enhance value addition across radar and other defence electronics programmes. Management remains confident of achieving its FY27 guidance of 20–25% revenue growth and EBITDA margins of 35–40%, supported by a robust executable opportunity pipeline of ~₹2,000–4,000 crore over the next 24 months.

Impact: Positive
