ABB revenues grew 22% YoY to ₹3365 crores

Revenues grew 22% YoY to ₹3365 crores, mainly driven by the Electrification, Motion and Robotics division which grew by 33%, 22% & 30% YoY respectively. Electrification grew with seamless execution of data centre orders, EPC Customers and export markets. Process automation was stable for the quarter with a marginal 0.5% decline in revenues.

Order inflows for the quarter came in at ₹2695 crore. Base orders grew 4% YoY while total orders were down 14% YoY due to one-time large order in Q4CY23 worth ₹600 crore in motion and process automation. Order backlog grew by 12% YoY to ₹9380 crore. Uptrend in orders for the quarter came from segments like metals and mining, energy and chemicals, buildings and infrastructure, food and beverage, electronics, and renewables. For CY2024, large orders were up 20% and total orders by 5% driven by growth in segments like data centres and railways, in addition to the segments mentioned above for the fourth quarter.

Overall EBITDA grew 58% YoY to ₹657 crore. Strong execution and operating leverage led to EBITDA Margins coming in at 19.5% vs. 18.5% in Q3CY24 and 15.1% in Q4CY23. Segmentally EBIT Margins expanded 461/320/660 basis points on a YoY basis for Electrification/Motion/Process automation business.

PAT came in at ₹528.4 crore, up 56% YoY. PAT Margins at 15.3% expanded by 336 basis points YoY. The company has declared a final dividend of ₹33.50 per share.

The company expects to maintain PAT margins in the range of 12-15%. It aims to execute 65-70% of order book (₹9380 crore) in CY25 and rest in CY26.

The company has extended its product offering in Low Voltage Flameproof Motor (LVM) range for safe operations in hazardous environments. The product is available in IE2, IE3 and IE4 efficiency classes, now offer wide output range (37kW – 500 kW) and can operate in temperatures from -20 degree Celsius to +60 degree Celsius. Engineered to outrun, these motors are specifically designed for use in industries such as Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Pharma, and Food & Beverage, where the presence of hazardous gases make safety and reliability a top priority. LVM now encompasses output range of (0.18kW to 500kW).
