Nifty December futures trade at premium

The Nifty December 2023 futures closed at 21,376, a premium of 120.95 points compared with the Nifty`s closing 21,255.05 in the cash market.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 added 104.90 points or 0.50% to 21,255.05.

The NSE`s India VIX, a gauge of market`s expectation of volatility over the near term, tumbled 4.79% to 13.76.

HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank and Reliance Industries were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.

The December 2023 F&O contracts will expire on 28 December 2023.
