NIFTY AUGUST FUTURES TRADE AT PREMIUM

The Nifty August 2023 futures closed at 19,472, a premium of 90.35 points compared with the Nifty`s closing 19,381.65 in the cash market.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 declined 144.90 points or 0.74% to settle at 19,381.65.

The NSE`s India VIX, a gauge of market`s expectation of volatility over the near term, fell 0.82% to 11.19.

Vedanta, ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.

The August 2023 F&O contracts will expire on 31 August 2023.
