Nifty August futures trade at discount

The Nifty August 2023 futures closed at 19,433, a discount of 11 points compared with the Nifty`s closing 19,444 in the cash market.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 added 47.55 points or 0.25% to settle at 19,444.

The NSE`s India VIX, a gauge of market`s expectation of volatility over the near term, fell 0.17% to 11.73.

HDFC Bank, Reliance Industries (RIL) and ICICI Bank were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.

The August 2023 F&O contracts will expire on 31 August 2023.
