Nifty April futures trade at premium

The Nifty April 2023 futures closed at 17,823.50, a premium of 9.9points compared with the Nifty`s closing of 17,813.60 in the cash market.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 gained 44.35 points or 0.25% to settle at 17,813.60.

The NSE`s India VIX, a gauge of market`s expectation of volatility over the near term, rose 1.15% to 11.65.

RIL, ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.

The April 2023 F&O contracts will expire on 27 April 2023.
