What are demat charges for CDSL account holders?

When you sell shares from your CDSL demat account, there is a flat demat debit charge, irrespective of the trade value. In ICICI Direct demat charges are ₹20 per day per scrip. This includes the fees payable to the depository (₹5.5+GST for CDSL).

    How are demat charges applicable?

Demat charges are applicable on sell transactions in the following products:

    1. Delivery sell transactions: ₹20 per day per scrip

    2. eATM sell transactions: ₹20 per day per scrip

    3. SPOT sell transactions: ₹20 per order per scrip

If you sell the same stock in multiple products, you will be charged separately for each product.

For example, if you make the following sell transactions on the same day:

    Stock Product Quantity Demat Charges
    Stock A Delivery 10 ₹20
    Stock A Delivery 28 ₹0
    Stock A eATM 80 ₹20
    Stock A eATM 17 ₹0
    Stock A SPOT 34 ₹20
    Stock A SPOT 26 ₹20
