JSW STEEL REPORTED A HEALTHY VOLUME PRINT FOR Q4FY25
JSWSTEEL - 1030 Change: -5.80 (-0.56 %)News: JSW Steel reported a healthy volume print for Q4FY25. Indian operations reported a production volume growth of 13% YoY to 7.4 million tonne (MT) in Q4FY25. For FY25, volumes stood at 27 MT, up by 6% YoY. The total group combined volumes for FY25 stood at 27.8 MT, up by 5% YoY. Capacity utilisation at Indian operations excluding trail run stood at 93% for Q4FY25.
View: The consolidated crude steel production for the year was in line with our estimates (~27.6 MT for FY25). Additionally, the company is currently in the ramp-up phase of its new ~5 MTPA facility, which will increase the total crude steel capacity at Vijayanagar to 17.5 MTPA. Consequently, this will raise JSW’s total crude steel capacity in India to 34.2 MT. Therefore, we maintain our positive stance on JSW Steel, driven by its strategic capacity expansion, strong domestic steel demand, and anticipated improvements in profitability.
Impact: Positive
