Gold holds around two week low

COMEX Gold futures are struggling to hold onto the modest gains as markets are focusing on the minutes of the last US Fed monetary policy meeting today. Gold has dropped under $1800 per ounce mark and is lingering around two week low now. Continued gains in the global equities are preventing any major upmove in the metal. The Dow jumped 0.70% to break above 34000 mark in last session, hitting a near four month high. Asian equities are also up today, adding to their recent gains. COMEX Gold is currently trading flat around $1788 per ounce amid these cues.
