Gold Falls Near Three Week Low

COMEX Gold tanked more than 1% yesterday as a slide from around two week highs extended. The COVID-19 vaccines of Moderna Inc and Pfizer-BioNtech were found effective in real-world conditions, the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) - the United States` national public health agency- said in a report. Both the vaccines were found to be 90 percent effective if two doses of the vaccine were given to the beneficiaries, it said. The metal approached $1710 per ounce following this, testing around three week low. Worries over rising Covid-19 cases and fears over a possible lockdown in major state Maharashtra kept local sentiments under check.
