News: According to media reports, Trent is focusing on enhancing the share of beauty products along with footwear and innerwar in the overall revenue mix for Westside. It is also planning to extend product lines and experiment new store formats for the beauty space. Currently, these three segment (beauty, footwear, innerwar) contribute ~ Rs 750 crore worth revenue for Trent.
View: The beauty & personal care categories are among the fastest-growing segments in the discretionary space (projected to grow at a CAGR of 12% to Rs 198100 crore in 2025). Given Trent's strong brand patronage and robust distribution network, we believe the company will be able to rapidly scale up the new categories leading to new avenues for faster revenue growth.
