JK CEMENT HAS NOTIFIED THAT THE COMPANY HAS RECEIVED ALLOCATION OF MAHAN COAL MINE
News: JK Cement has notified that the company has received allocation of Mahan Coal Mine in Singrauli District of Madhya Pradesh. The Coal Mine Block has a total geological coal reserve of ~107.4 million tonnes with a peak-rated capacity of 1.2 million tonnes per annum. The company had already announced this during Q2FY25 that they have won this coal block.
Views: JK Cement has 2.64 mtpa of clinker capacity at Panna (MP) at present and in process of expanding it to 5.9 mtpa by Q3FY26 through 3.3 mtpa of phase -2. Assuming this coal mine peak rated production of 1.2 mtpa, we believe that this will be sufficient for clinker production (assuming 80% clinker utilisation post commissioning of phase-2 at Panna).
