News: Tata Passenger Electric Mobility (E-mobility arm at Tata Motors in PV domain) commenced production at its state-of-the-art new facility in Sanand, Gujarat. This plant was acquired from Ford India in Jan’23.
Views: Volumes at Tata Motors has been constrained for capacity and has been clocking wholesale volumes of ~45-50k per month in the PV domain. With rated capacity of this new plant pegged at 3 lakh units per annum and scalable up to 4.2 lakh units per annum coupled with new product launches in the E-mobility space, we expect company to clock healthy volume growth going forward. This will go a long way in retaining market leadership of Tata Motors in the E-mobility space domestically.
