Motilal Oswal Contra Fund - Regular (G)

The scheme aims to generate returns by predominantly investing in a diversified portfolio of equity and equity related instruments across market capitalization and sectors following contrarian strategy. The Fund will follow a top-down & bottom-up approach. The Scheme will invest in stocks of companies, which are fundamentally sound but currently are undervalued due to prevailing market sentiments, macro-economic conditions or short term factors than have caused mispricing of their true long-term potential. In line with a contrarian investment approach, the Scheme aims to identify and invest in securities that the broader market may be overlooking, underestimating, or mispricing due to temporary challenges or negative perceptions. These undervalued securities are stocks of those companies whose fundamental value and long-term growth potential is not yet recognized or reflected in their market price. The scheme may invest in sectors or stocks that are currently not in market favor, even though the underlying companies exhibit strong fundamentals and long-term growth potential. Besides early identification of gaps in intrinsic value and market valuation, stock selection may also factor in MOAMC`s QGLP philosophy of Invest in Quality businesses with reasonable Growth potential and with sufficient Longevity of that growth potential at a fair Price. The AMC will endeavor to meet the investment objective of the Scheme while maintaining a balance between safety, liquidity and return on investments.
