Nifty September futures trade at premium

The Nifty September 2023 futures closed at 20,128.95, a premium of 58.95 points compared with the Nifty`s closing 20,070 in the cash market.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 added 76.80 points or 0.38% to settle at 20,070.

The NSE`s India VIX, a gauge of market`s expectation of volatility over the near term, rose 1.17% to 11.83.

HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank and Reliance Industries (RIL) were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.

The September 2023 F&O contracts will expire on 28 September 2023.
