Nifty October futures trade at premium

The Nifty October 2023 futures closed at 19,522, a premium of 9.65 points compared with the Nifty`s closing 19,512.35 in the cash market.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 slipped 141.15 points or 0.72% to settle at 19,512.35.

The NSE`s India VIX, a gauge of market`s expectation of volatility over the near term, surged 12.11% to 11.55

Tata Consultancy Services, Infosys and HDFC Bank were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.

The October 2023 F&O contracts will expire on 26 October 2023.
