NIFTY OCTOBER FUTURES TRADE AT DISCOUNT

The Nifty October 2023 futures closed at 19,523.30, a discount of 19.35 points compared with the Nifty`s closing 19,542.65 in the cash market.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 shed 82.05 points or 0.42% to settle at 19,542.65.

The NSE`s India VIX, a gauge of market`s expectation of volatility over the near term, decreased 0.55% to 10.84.

HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank and Reliance Industries (RIL) were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.

The October 2023 F&O contracts will expire on 26 October 2023.
