Nifty May futures trade at premium

The Nifty May 2023 futures closed at 18,317.50, a premium of 53.1 points compared with the Nifty`s closing of 18,264.40 in the cash market.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 added 195.40 points or 1.08% to settle at 18,264.40.

The NSE`s India VIX, a gauge of market`s expectation of volatility over the near term, advanced 2.76% to 12.64.

HDFC Bank, Canara Bank, ICICI Bank were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.

The May 2023 F&O contracts will expire on 25 May 2023.
